When composer Don Peake took over scoring the show from Stu Phillips, he wanted to re-record the opening theme. He did re-record it, but the executives at the studio decided to keep the original. For over 40 years, this recording had been thought lost...until now!

I really wish that this theme had been used in seasons three and four and Stu would've had seasons one and two. Don has done wonderful work musically over the years and I'm glad this could be purchased by the public and heard.
Its so cool how we can aquire some of these tracks from the show. If your a real fan of Knight Rider especially the music. This is totally worth it! I only wish it was remastered CD quality and not in its raw form.
Enjoyed the theme but it's not as good as the original. If anything there's too much of the original in there.

Don Peak arrangement sounds more as symphonic music. Orginal arrangement sounds like synth pop.
Macgyver series started with full on synthesizer music and when I asume budget got bigger they rerecoded theme song with Orchestra for newer sessions.
